Kenora OPP receives funding for CCTV cameras

More CCTV cameras for the City of Kenora.

The OPP has been approved for $51,850 under the Ontario Closed Circuit Television Grant Program.

The funding can be used to replace outdated equipment, expand or enhance current technology, and install new or additional CCTV surveillance cameras.

The Kenora OPP has a team of officers dedicated to viewing CCTV camera footage to help investigations.

Right now, the OPP use cameras set up by the City of Kenora, both school boards and the Kenora District Services Board.
