Wednesday Morning Ladders : Hello everyone
What a beautiful morning for pickleball! With the wind screens down, it was a bit windier than usual – but we had a great view of Rabbit Lake!
The results from Wednesday Morning’s play are below.
Congratulations to our top players of the day!
- Group 1 – Murray Affleck – two weeks in a row! Well done, Murray.
- Group 2 – Sarah Adams – Sarah was on fire today!
- Group 3 – Christina Toth – Well done!
- Group 4 – Gord Cavanagh – with an excellent morning, just losing one game.
Congratulations as well to Christina Toth, the winner of this week’s A&W “Player of the Day” certificates!
Wednesday Evening Ladders: It was a bit windy without windscreens on the Northside; now we know the importance of windscreens. We really appreciate club members volunteering to put the windscreen up and down every year! Let’s help out next time, everyone!
Derek Hollbrow and Robert Scatliff won the last game on court 1 making them the big winners. They beat out Jun Laffin and Devon Derick…it seems those names are always near the top !!!
The Boston Pizza “Player of the Night” was Joe Varghese. He started on court 8 and won the last game on court 2! Congratulations Joe!
Thursday Morning Ladders – We had 26 members out on a nice morning for Pickleball. After a rough start with organizing groups last minute we got underway with play. We had a new winner in Group 1 as Wayne Jones took the top spot with a very high score. Group 2 winner is Keith Loucks with a 2 point lead over Gil DesRoches. Group 3 winner is Brenda Tkachyk with a 1 point lead over Sharon Wazney.
The Boston Pizza winner of the week goes to Wayne Jones for having a good day on the courts and taking top spot.
