Kenora Volunteer Fair set for next Wednesday

A volunteer fair is being held next week by the Kenora Age-Friendly Committee.

Councillor Lindsay Koch says they hope to match-up volunteers with organization looking for help.

“Organizations who are in need of volunteers of any kind, are welcome to register,” Koch informed city council at their Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday.

“Of course, we would love to see any community members looking for something to do with their time.”

Koch adds that the Volunteer Fair is for young and old alike.

“If you are newly retired or in high school or anywhere in between, we would love to see you there, to find a way you can do good work in the community.”

The Kenora Rotary Club and the Retired Teachers of Ontario are helping out with the volunteer fair.

It’s taking place in the multi-purpose room at the Moncrief Construction Sports Center from 1 until 5 pm next Wednesday.
