Lake Morning Show: Holiday food traditions

Hanukkah kicked off last night and runs through Monday, December 22… So, have you ever tried a Hanukkah donut? Yep, that’s a real thing!

This time of year always gets me thinking about food traditions.

My mom makes these chocolate-coconut cookies whenever my sister visits. Lately, that only happens at Christmas, so guess what? They’ve become “Christmas cookies.”

They’re delightfully lumpy, glossy little bites of chocolate-coconut goodness. I’m watering at the mouth just thinking of them…

What about you? Got a festive favorite? Maybe it’s green jelly salad, fruitcake without the fruit, or… cantaloupe? No judgment here.

Let me, Caleb, know what your go-to holiday food is by tuning in to 89.5 the Lake’s Morning Show all this week while I fill in for Talia!
