Are you a big fan of the movie Kpop Demon Hunters?
This original film is the most-watched movie on Netflix, surpassing Red Notice, which previously held the No. 1 spot. Not only is it the top-charting movie, but the soundtrack is booming. The record has a total of 117 million official on-demand streams. The tracks, “Your Idol,” “Soda Pop” and “How It’s Done” have all charted just below the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The star of the album, “Golden,” holds the longest streak at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with 15 consecutive weeks.
Singers from the hit “Golden,” EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, performed live for the first time on national television, specifically, on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show.” They were absolutely incredible. You couldn’t tell the difference between the live and recorded performance, that’s how good it was. Especially EJAE who voices Rumi in the movie, hit the seemingly impossible high notes from the song.
EJAE has an incredible back story — She trained as a K-pop idol trainee in her early years until she was dropped from one of Korea’s biggest labels, SM Entertainment. It was a hard hit for EJAE, but at her lowest point, she taught herself how to produce music. After producing smashing hits for Kpop Demon Hunters, EJAE is finally living the dreams her younger self carried.
Are you impressed with their live performance?
