The Blue Jays were the highlight of the weekend.
Game 1 of the World Series took place on Friday, and the Blue Jays knocked it out of the park (literally)! Addison Barger hit a pinch-hit grand slam, making history, and the team finished with a score of 11-4. The L.A. Dodgers evened the score Saturday with a 5-1 win. It was a special game, as Kevin Gausman made his World Series debut.
What stood out over the weekend is that even non-baseball players are supporting the Jays. On top of that, other Canadian Sports team, including the Raptors, Maple Leafs, Argos and TFC, updated their profile pictures in solidarity. The Leafs and Raptors even delayed their game start times so fans could watch the World Series.
