Lake of the Woods Speedway Caps Off 2025 Season with Thrilling Finale

The roar of engines and the cheers of fans marked the end of another exciting season at Lake of the Woods Speedway.

The track hosted its final event of 2025 this past Sunday. Featuring WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, Limited Stocks (formerly Pure Stocks), HD Contracting Ent., 4-Cylinders. There was also a special appearance by Quad Racers! (Presented by McKenzie Diesel’s Heavy Equipment Repair.)

Spectators packed the grandstands under clear skies, with gates opening at 3:30 pm. Hot laps kicked off at 4:00 p.m. Racing began at 4:30 p.m., with fans of all ages enjoying the action.

From pit access smiles to wide-eyes in the grandstand, the family-friendly event was a hit for everyone involved.

Lake of the Woods Speedway Race Highlights

#91 Morgan McDonald leading the Heat race in the Q104 Limited Stocks

The Q104 Limited Stocks delivered intense competition. Justin Krause and Morgan McDonald each claimed victories in their respective heats.

The feature race saw many lead changes. Dave Rogers, Bryson McDonald, Matt Taylor, and Krause all took turns at the front. Ultimately, Morgan McDonald emerged victorious, capping off a strong performance.

In the HD Contracting 4-Cylinders, Madoc Mulholland took heat one. Dustin Wowk dominated heat two.

#81 Brodie Mcgowan took the checkered flag in the HD Contracting Enterprises 4-Cylinder feature race

The feature race was a standout moment for Brodie McGowan.

McGowan started on the outside front row and never looked back. He secured his first win in the class in four years.

The Riverview Industries WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds was next. Edward Bell took the lone heat win.

In the feature, Keelan Hall continued his impressive season, claiming his third feature victory. The win helps solidify Hall’s reputation as one of the top drivers in the division.

Quad Racers get ready for their heat race

Folks were on the edge of their seat for the McKenzie Diesel’s Heavy Equipment Repair Quads. Spectators say it added a fun, unique twist to the evening. Ethan Clark battled hard in the heat race to take the win. He followed it up with a commanding performance in the feature, sweeping both races.

Looking Ahead

As the dust has settles on the 2025 season, Lake of the Woods Speedway thanks everyone involved.

“Thank you to everyone that made 2025 an Incredible Racing Season! It is so much appreciated!” said one of the event organizers, Anthony Leek.

McGowan, posting to Facebook, wrote, “Can’t thank my friends and family enough for all the support throughout the race season!!”

The energy, sportsmanship, and community spirit were on full display throughout the season.
