The 20th annual Lifesavers Dinner for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation was one of the most successful to date.
Over a half a million dollars was raised over the weekend at the Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club.
This year, $260,00 will go towards a new infant abduction and patient wandering system.
Additional funds will go towards the newly established Strengthening Surgical Care Close to Home Initiative.
The fund was established recently thanks to a $1 million donation from the Dufresne family.
Over the 20 years of the Lifesavers Dinner, more than $5 million has been raised.
