Local sports for Monday, November 24th

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs continue to hold down first place in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.

The Ice Dogs travelled to Ironwood, Michigan and came away with pair of victories, winning 7-2 Friday night and 5-2 on Saturday.

Dryden now has 33 points, three points up on the second place Fort Frances Lakers, who also won both of their games in a shootout over the weekend.

On Friday they downed the Kam River Fighting Walleye 2-1 and then claimed a 3-2 victory on Saturday over Kam River.

The Sioux Lookout Bombers and the Thunder Bay North Stars split their games, with the Bombers coming away with a 4-3 victory on Saturday after being shut out 1-0 by the North Stars on Friday.
