Matiowski Farmers’ Market

It’s the second-to-last Matiowski Farmers’ Market of the season!
It runs every Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion.
Each year, local and regional vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods, handmade goods, art, textiles, meats and more.
It’s one of the highlights of Kenora during the summer and fall, so check it out before it’s too late!
Terry Fox Run

The Terry Fox Run is coming in Kenora this Sunday, Sept. 20 and it’s never too late to register! You can register online or in-person starting at 8 a.m. at Valleyview School, before the run officially begins at 9 a.m. sharp.
There are other Terry Fox initiatives running in Kenora like the Terry Fox Online Auction which closes Sept. 17 and you can find everything from prize packs, gift cards, furniture and jewelry and every dollar goes to the Terry Fox Foundation.
Not to mention, Brackens Books is running a book drive for the foundation. They recommend $2 for paperback and $5 for hardcovers, but if you want to pay more to up the donation, even better!
Take Back The Night

Kenora’s Take Back the Night starts up at the harbourfront Sept. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.
It’s a community event focused on raising awareness about sexual violence, supporting survivors, advocating for change, improving policies, and building a safer community for everyone.
Rather than alone, it’s always better to stand together with the community and raise awareness for important issues!
