From a community market to open house and dance party, there are plenty of great events lined up this week! Weather you’re looking for meats, fresh produce or handmade items at the market, updates on the city’s well-being plan, or a celebratory dance party, there’s something for everyone.
Matiowski Farmers’ Market
Another day of the Matiowski Farmers’ Market is here!
It runs every Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion. Even if you miss it today, you’ve got plenty of chances to check it out.
Each year, local and regional vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods, handmade goods, art, textiles, meats and more.
It’s one of the highlights of Kenora during the summer, so check it out when you can!
Kenora’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Open House
Do you want to hear the latest update on the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan?
Kenora’s CSWB Plan Open House starts tonight at 6 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. at the Kenora Public Library located at 24 Main St. S.
Drop in to learn about action items underway and connect with groups involved in the plan.
There will be a free barbeque, a local gift card draw, and free dirty soda from Fizz & Cream Co. Dirty Soda Shop for the first 50 people in line.
Saakaate House Women’s Shelter 40th Anniversary Community Dance Party & Market
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Saakaate House Women’s Shelter at the Brewer’s Village this Saturday, June 13!
Running from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. is the Makers Market with local vendors, artists, and makers. A dance party with DJ Mama Cutsworth follows from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person, and children 12 and under get in free.
