Mary Berglund Health Centre to receive pediatric funding

Pediatric care at the Mary Berglund Community Health Centre in Ignace is being improved.

The Ontario government is providing over half a million dollars to work toward top-quality children’s care at the hospital.

$537,000 is being funded to hire a new social worker and early childhood development specialist, and to expand nursing and physician hours.

The announcement was made this afternoon by Greg Rickford, MPP for Kenora-Rainy River, who said the funding will benefit children and families more than ever before.

This is a part of Ontario’s investment of 330-million-dollars annually to help pediatric services.
