Local groups putting on special events are eligible for funding under the Municipal Accommodation Tax.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available.
The events must take place from June 1st to May 31st of 2024.
This year alone, the city approved 32 grants for tourism and economic development projects through the MAT tax.
This year, the MAT tax is contributing just over a one million dollars to the city coffers.
The deadline to apply is April 22nd.
