The long-time executive director of the Northwest Community Legal Clinic has been recognized by the Law Society of Ontario.
Trudy McCormick has been presented with the John Shirley Denison Award.
It goes to a lawyer or a paralegal in recognition of their work in the justice system and poverty issues.
She has been the executive director of the Legal Clinic since it was established in 2009.
The Law Society cites her efforts to provide high-quality services to the community and addressing the unique legal needs of low income people in the region.
