Today, meet Makwa! He’s a laid back, well behaved, adult dog who is ready to find his perfect outdoor adventure partner!

He’s the kind of dog that doesn’t ask for much, but gives so much back to you. Despite having a rough start in life, with a few marks from his past to show for it like the slit in his ear and a limp in his leg, Makwa is full of love and thriving:
- Healthy and ready for adventure – Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, Makwa is 8 years old and still has plenty of outdoor adventures ahead! His arthritis medication keeps him comfortable and mobile.
- Calm, low maintenance, and affectionate – Makwa enjoys peaceful walks and quiet time indoors. He’s well-behaved, uninterested in human food, and has never damaged furniture when left alone.
- Resilient spirit – a slit in his ear and a limp in his leg are reminders of the challenges Makwa has overcome. These marks only highlight his strength and gentle nature.
- Best as your one and only – Makwa is working through reactivity training and making great progress, but he’s happiest in a home where he’s the solo star. His compatibility with cats is unknown.
- Leash legend – Makwa walks beautifully on leash and is thriving off-leash at a remote property. With continued recall training, he’ll only get better.
