More increases in outflow scheduled for Norman Dam

The Lake of the Woods Control Board has three more increases in outflow from the Norman Dam into the Winnipeg River planned for the coming week.

That due to rising water levels.

The first is taking place today, while there will be another on Sunday and the third will take place next Tuesday.

Over the past week, the lake rose 6.5 centimeters and is expected to go up another 4 to 5 centimeters over the next seven days, despite the increase in outflows.

Due to the influx of water, the level of the Winnipeg River below the Norman Dam is expected to go up about 33 centimeters, and 15 centimeters at the Dalles.
