Municipalities receive Trillium funds

The Ontario Trillium Foundation is awarding two communities with funding.

The Township of Alberton receives $100,000 for new playground equipment at Millenium Park.

The equipment will be geared toward preschool-aged children.

The Municipality of Machin will use $22,400 to purchase new weightlifting and cardio equipment for its Woodland Gym.

A water bottle station and air conditioners will also be acquired.

The funding is part of a larger $28 million contribution to support 291 programs and services across the province.
