NAPS conducts drug bust on Cat Lake

Four people have been arrested on the Cat Lake First Nation following a drug bust.

The Nishnawbe Aski Police says the executed a search warrant on a home early last Wednesday morning.

Police seized cocaine, methamphetamines, nearly 25 thousand dollars in Canadian currency, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Three of the people were from Cat Lake and the other, a 27 year old man from Winnipeg were arrested.

They all face two charges of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Police say they conducted the drug bust as part of an investigation into an increase drug trafficking on Cat Lake.
