Lifesavers Dinner another success for the Hospital Foundation

The Lifesavers Dinner continues to be the biggest single fundraiser for the Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation.

This year, the dinner and auction at the Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club raised over 422 thousand dollars.

The money will be used to purchase nine pieces of equipment for the hospital.

That includes two infant warmers and two air blenders for the maternity unit, an ultra-sound machine and bladder scanner for the emergency department.

A general microscope, a fluorescence microscope and a chemistry analyzer for the hospital’s lab will also be purchased along with a new washer/disinfector will also be purchased for the Medical Device Reprocessing Department.

The was the 19th Lifesavers dinner, and the third consecutive sell out with 170 people in attendance along with donors and volunteers.
