New radar sign for Dryden

A new radar sign has been set up in the City of Dryden.

It’s on Van Horne Avenue.

The Northwestern Health Unit says this street is busy and used by students getting to school.

The radar sign lets motorists know how fast they are going and make drivers more aware of their speed.

“Radar signs have been shown to reduce drivers’ speeds, and we are grateful to have a new sign to help protect our students,” says Officer Kristopher Miclash from the Dryden OPP.

“Slowing down and staying alert while driving helps keep children and youth safe.”

The sign has been funded through the Ministry of Transportation’s Road Safety Community Partnership Program.
