NOMA supports pipeline construction

The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association is supportive of Ontario’s plans to build pipelines in the province.

One of the pipelines would run through northwestern Ontario up to James Bay.

NOMA calls it a bold, nation-building vision to develop an East-West Canadian Energy Corridor.

NOMA president Rick Dumas says by working closely with local communities, First Nations, and our neighbouring provinces, this project recognizes Northwestern Ontario’s essential role in powering Canada’s future.

He calls it a transformative initiative that will create good-paying jobs and support communities in the region.

NOMA suggests it will attract new investment, spur innovation and open the door for northwestern Ontario to lead in the clean energy economy.
