The 2025 Nordiq Canada Selection Trials, Nordiq Cup is taking place just outside of Thunder Bay.
The Lakehead Superior Nordic Association is hosting the event at the Lappe Ski Centre.
In addition to the trials, the second race in the Ontario Cup series is also taking place.
The event has brought cross-country skiers aiming to qualify for Team Canada at the World Junior & U23 Championships to the area.
The Big Thunder Nordic Ski Club in Thunder Bay has 26 different athletes participating in the event.
The Lappe Ski Centre also has 37 skiers participating.
The races are kicking off on Thursday and running through Monday following two training days leading up to the event.
