Northwestern courts seeking five new judges

Courts in Northwestern regions of Ontario will soon have some new faces behind the bench.

There are five judicial positions vacant between Thunder Bay, Fort Frances and Kenora.

According to a release from Ontario Courts, there is one active vacancy in Fort Frances, one position in Kenora and three availabilities in Thunder Bay, with all roles involving both criminal and family law.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and appointments also involve travel within regional boundaries and elsewhere in the province.

Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
