Residents of the Thunder Bay-Ignace District living in the purple area of the map below have been ordered to evacuate. That includes the communities of Gull Bay, Collins, Armstrong and Ferland.

The region’s largest fire in Wabakimi Provincial Park is currently measuring 318,812.7 hectares and is not under control. However, the Ministry of Natural Resources reports recent precipitation over the last several days has helped to reduce fire behaviour, allowing for crews to make good progress on the fire line.
