Wednesday, May 8th is McHappy Day – a one-day fundraiser that helps generate funding for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) across Canada! 10% of all food and drink purchases will be donated to RMHC so they can continue to assist in providing supports for families with sick children. At Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada, they provide supports like accommodations, food, and mental health and wellness supports. This allows guardians to put their focus and energy into what really matters – being there for their children – instead of stressing about paying for the costs of hotels and food.
There are so many ways to donate this year, including:
- purchasing any food or drink item on the McDonald’s Menu in-store, in the drive thru, or placing an order through your favourite local food delivery app
- Rounding your total up to the nearest dollar
- Purchasing a McHappy Day Heart at a $2, $5, or $10 value that you can put your name on
In 2023, 86 families in Northwestern Ontario utilized the services of Ronald McDonald House. Supporting the fundraising effort on McHappy Day could benefit a family member, friend, neighbour, coworker, fellow community member, or even your own family right now, or in the future. Consider donating today at our local McDonald’s Store in Kenora at 900 Highway 17 E.
