Older Adults Expo on Thursday

Some ideas what seniors can do or get involved with in the community.

An Older Adults Expo is taking place at the Seven Generations Education Institute this week.

Mary Bawden is the chair of Kenora Age Friendly Committee and says they will have a number of presentations and information booths available.

“Hear speakers on various aspects of aging or managing at home,” explains Bawden.

“Also, visit some exhibits of people that provide services, or sell products that would be of interest to older adults.”

Bawden adds there will be information booths set up that might be of interest to anyone attending.

“There will be number of agencies will be around that will be exhibiting, and have tables with information there, for people to find out more things. So, it’s not just what the presenters are presenting about.”

The expo is taking place from 9 am until 3:30 pm on Thursday.
