A date has been given for the opening of both lanes of the Keewatin Channel Bridge.
The bridge has been down to one lane since October 9th due to the installation of scaffolding.
That work was supposed to take three weeks, but the City of Kenora says the bridge won’t open to two lanes of traffic until Tuesday, November 4th.
High winds and significant rain are being blamed for the delay.
The scaffolding is being installed so repair work on the bridge’s steel beams, and re-coating of the bridge can take place during the winter months.
