OPP investigating overdose death in Kenora

The Kenora OPP are investigating an overdose death.

Police have not released any other details but says there has been an increase in suspected overdoses.

As a word of warning, the Provincial Police are reminding local residents that it is dangerous to use illicit substances from unregulated sources.

Police suggest people should not handle any unknown substance, as some drugs can be harmful to handle and require proper procedures and personal protective equipment.

If you or anyone you are with experiences an overdose, Provincial Police encourages you to call 9-1-1 immediately.

If a member of the public comes across something they suspect to be illegal drugs, they should notify the police, so the substance can be handled and disposed of in a safe manner.
