Outflow decrease again at Norman Dam

Despite recent rain, water levels on Lake of the Woods continue to go down.

Lake of the Woods Control Board says that’s because at this time of year, there is more evaporation.

In the past week, the lake went down 3 centimeters, and is expected to stay the same over the next seven days.

Despite stable water levels, the Control Board is authorizing a reduction through the Norman Dam next Tuesday.

That means water levels on the Winnipeg River will go down 9 centimeters, and 3 centimeters at the Dalles.
