Outflows continue to be decreased

Lake of the Woods Control Board has authorized more decreases in outflow from the Norman Dam.

In addition to one today, three will take place next week.

The Control Board says inflows into the lake have dropped extremely quickly in the past week.

And the weather forecasts are for relatively warm and dry conditions in the next week.

Water levels on the Winnipeg River below the dam could decrease by as much of 74 centimeters by the end of next week, 51 centimeters at the Dalles and 50 centimeters at Minaki.
