Pharmacare deal reached between NDP, Liberals: reports

The Liberals and the NDP have reportedly reached a deal on national pharmacare.

Several media reports say the legislation includes coverage for contraceptives and diabetes meds.

The deal means the New Democrats will continue to prop up the Liberals until 2025.

Leader Jagmeet Singh threatened to pull that support if legislation was not tabled by March 1.

That would have left the door open to the minority Liberal government falling before the next scheduled election in 2025.
