The city is going to have to dig up the portion of road at the intersection of Gould Road and Railway Street again.
Director of Engineering and Infrastructure Greg Breen says they did put fill in that area just before the winter, but there has been significant settling there.
“That project was left to essentially settle out over the winter,” Breen updated city council at the Committee of the Whole meeting this week.
“That settlement actually has disconnected some of the underground sewer and water servicing piping just do to the significant amounts that occurred over there. Over the course of the summer the completion on Railway Street will take place.”
Breen says they are just waiting for CP Rail to give approval to continue the sidewalk on the north side of the road.
