A 34 year old from the Wabaseemoong Independent Nation has been charged with second degree murder.
It is in connection with a death in the community Thursday afternoon.
Police were contacted around 3:30 pm about an incident in a residence where one person was pronounced dead.
The Treaty Three Police along with the OPP launched an investigation leading to the murder charge.
The suspect has been remanded into custody and will appear in Kenora Court at a later date.
The investigation is on-going and the OPP say while there is no threat to pubic safety, expect to see a large police presence in the area.
