Premiers approval rating dropping in most provinces

Voters are not giving most Premiers much love.

The latest opinion poll from Angus-Reid sees declining public support over the last six months for all but three Premiers.

Manitoba’s Wab Kiniew remains the most popular, with 61% of Manitobans liking what he is doing, but his support has fallen 7 percentage points since the last poll in June.

Support for Nova Scotia’s Tim Houston and New Brunswick’s Susan Holt also dropped, but they remain popular with over 50% of respondents.

Newfoundland-Labrador’s John Hogan, Saskatchewan’s Scott Moe and Ontario Premier Doug Ford all saw their support increase.

Hogan enjoyed the largest gain of 12 percentage points.

Ford’s popularity increased 3% but still holds down second-last post, ahead of Francois Legault, who registered just 22% support among Quebec voters.
