RCMP arrest break in suspect in Hadashville

The Falcon Lake Detchment of the RCMP credits video surveillance footage for the arrest of a suspect wanted in a break-in in the Hadashville area.

On Monday evening around 9:30 police responded to a possible break-in.

A canine unit was brought in along with a drone.

Thanks to the drone they located the suspect running through a neighboring property and hiding in an abandoned building.

As officers closed in the suspect gave himself up without incident.

The RCMP also says they discovered a vehicle stolen from Abbottsford, BC located outside the property that was broken into.

A 38-year man from Newfoundland faces charges of flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime and trespassing at night.
