
It’s always exciting to shine the spotlight on a musical act that so many people around northwestern Ontario know and love.
Not only is there local enthusiasm for the songs that these artists create, release and perform, but there is an energy and positive vibe coming from these musicians and songwriters as well. It can be infectious in the best way.
We recently had the chance to chat with Mike Dean.

Mike is the drummer for the Kenora-based band North Shore, who have been together for over a decade and a half.

Their talent, hard work and passion for creating music has earned them a loyal following around the region and beyond.

Even after all this time, you can tell that North Shore is a band that continues to evolve and grow and it is thrilling to see how far they have come.
They have worked with some truly talented and highly regarded producers and musicians.
The guys have travelled all over, sharing the stage with some big time names in the industry.
There are local boys made good, and that’s inspiring for anyone in our parts who wants to go after their dreams.
