Rents down in August compared to 2024

Rents across the country have dropped for the 11th month in a row.

That is according to a new report from Rentals.ca and Urbanation.

The average asking price for August is 2.3 per cent lower compared to the same time last year.

The largest drop happened in Alberta, and the second largest drop was in Atlantic Canada.

But 1-bedroom apartments are still about 15 per cent more expensive than August of 2022.
