Repairs being made on Turtle Portage Marine Railway

The Turtle Portage Marine Railway on Lake of the Woods should be available again later this spring.

It was taken out of service late last summer for repairs.

The Ministry of Natural Resources says there are still a couple of minor fixes that have to be completed before it can open again.

The MNRF says once a boat can get the the marine railway, repairs can be carried out and it can be reopened shortly afterwards.

The marine railway provides a shortcut between Whitefish Bay and Sabaskong Bay.
