Rickford nominated by PC’s in Kenora-Rainy River

A provincial election will be called on Wednesday, and so far, only the Progressive Conservatives have a candidate nominated.

Incumbant MPP Greg Rickford will be carrying the party banner into his third election.

Rickford is also the Minister of Indigenous Affairs and Northern Development.

Rudy Turtle, the former chief of the Grassy Narrows First Nation, is expected to run for the NDP.

The Liberals and Green Party have yet to announce their candidates.

Another possible candidate is Waylon Scott, chief of Wabaseemoong, running for the Progressive Conservatives in Kiiwetinoong.
