Sandy Lake woman charged in fatal ATV crash

The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service has laid charges in connection to a fatal ATV collision last year on the Sandy Lake First Nation.

The accident took place on Airport Road on November 21st.

A man was hurt in the collision and was taken to the nursing station where he died from his injuries.

Through their investigation, police determined the female driver was impaired.

A 24-year-old woman appeared in court Thursday on charges of operation of a motor vehicle causing death and operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

She has been released with conditions.
