Seven Gens launches childcare center

Another 49 childcare spaces will be opened up soon in Kenora.

The Seven Generations Education Insitute has created the Kenora Campus Childcare center.

Eventually it will be able to accommodate 10 infants, 15 toddlers, and 24 pre-school children.

Until staffing is ramped up, numbers will be about half of what is envisioned with 10 toddlers and 15 pre-school aged children.

The Kenora District Services Board says the eventual goal is to create just over one thousand spaces in the region under the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Expansion Plan.
