Severe thunderstorm watch issued for parts of northwestern Ontario

A severe thundertorm watch has been issued for much of northwestern Ontario.

That includes, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Kenora, Fort Frances, Dryden and Atikokan.

Environment Canada says conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms and may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

There is also the risk of a tornado.

The watch is for this afternoon into this evening.
