Looking to do some shopping, walking and watching as we head into June? Coming up today and this weekend, you’ll find the local market, community dog walk and a speedway season opener!
Matiowski Farmers’ Market

The first Matiowski Farmers’ Market of the season kicks off today under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Even if you miss it today, the market will run every Wednesday through Sept. 23.
Every year, local and regional vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods, handmade goods, art, textiles, meats and more. If you want to pick up some lunch, they usually have food trucks stationed nearby.
It’s one of the highlights of Kenora during the summer, so check it out when you can!
Kenora’s 4th Annual Weenie Walk

If you’ve got a dachshund at home in need of a friend or a bunch of friends, check out Kenora’s Weenie Walk!
Dachshund owners will meet at the boardwalk by the MS Kenora at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, to walk to Husky the Muskie together.
After the walk, participants can head to the Brewers Village for the official Weenie Walk Afterparty at noon. Entry requires a $5 donation to It’s A Dog’s Life.
