SIU investigates fatality on Deer Lake

The Ontario Special Investigations Unit has been called in to look into a fatality on the Deer Lake First Nation.

Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police says called out Tuesday afternoon in response to a call for service.

An adult male was injured during his interaction with police officers.

No other details about the incident are being released.

NAPS says there is no threat to public safety, but a significant police presence is expected in the area.
