Small increase in outflow from Norman Dam

A slight increase in outflow from the Norman Dam into the Winnipeg River today.

That’s because water levels on Lake of the Woods continue to rise.

Over the past week, the average lake level went up 5 centimeters and is expected to rise another 6 to 10 centimeters over the next seven days.

The Lake of the Woods Control Board says additional small outflow increase may be required next week.

River levels below the Norman Dam are expected to go up 4.5 centimeters and 1.5 centimeters at the Dalles because of the increase in outflow.
