There’s a lot going on this week: it’s Mental Health Awareness Week and Mother’s Day is coming up pretty soon. If you’re looking for a simple walk and conversation, some shopping or activities for the kids, I have a few in store for you.
Walk & Talk from CMHA Kenora to Husky the Muskie

Sometimes walking and talking is all you need as a mental health break. And well, The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) wants to make that a reality! Participate in their Walk & Talk event, which starts at 1 p.m.
The route starts at CMHA Kenora (227 Second St. S.) all the way to Husky the Muskie and back. This way, you can connect with your community and nature to help support mental wellbeing.
Don’t forget about BBQ and Cookies by Baked By The Lake and Restorative Yoga with Sacred Sound coming up soon after. You can find all the details on the events page.
Mother’s Day Market at the Lodge Perch Bay Resort

Mother’s Day is around the corner and nothing beats some good old shopping with mom! The Lodge Perch Bay Resort is hosting its Mother’s Day Market Saturday, May 9 to celebrate all the amazing moms out there.
Find some time between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy free hot drinks, a photobooth and of course, shopping!
