Stolen vehicle stopped in Dryden

A 33 year old Wabigoon Lake First Nations man has been charged after a stolen vehicle was finally stopped in Dryden.

Yesterday morning around 11:30 a pick-up truck was taken from a business in Kenora.

The OPP say they located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver refused to stop.

A short time later, the pick-up was located in Dryden on Memorial Avenue.

This time the driver was stopped and arrested.

He was transported to the Dryden Detachment and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer and driving with no license.

He’ll appear in Dryden court on April 15th.
