Suspect arrested in Marten Falls overdoses

One person has been arrested following a string of overdoses on the Marten Falls First Nation.

The Nishnawbe Aski Police say there were a number of drug overdoses reported on February 29th.

In each case, Naloxone was administered and all the victims survived.

As a result of their investigation, a 27 year old woman faces a charge of possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

She has been released and will appear for a future court appearance in July.
