Tips For Dealing With Wildfire Smoke

Tips For Dealing With Wildfire Smoke

Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water. Even If you aren’t thirsty.

Limit outdoor activity. And avoid a lot of physical activity.

If you must be outside keep it brief and consider using a mask like an N95 or P100.

Seal windows and doors, and any openings to the outside.

Limit the use of candles, incense, and wood-burning appliances, as these can further reduce indoor air quality

If you have an air conditioner, set it to recirculate and close the fresh air intake to prevent bringing in more smoke.

Use a portable HEPA air cleaner, or use a high-efficiency filter in your HVAC system.

Consider seeking cleaner, cooler indoor air at places like community centres or libraries
