Trump hits copper, pharmacy drugs with latest tariff threats

Donald Trump is going after copper and pharmaceuticals in his latest tariff threats.

According to multiple reports, the U.S. President said he would hit imports with a 50 per cent tax.

And he wants a 200 per cent tax on pharmaceutical drugs entering the states, but he says they will give them some time to “get their act together

Canada exports a large amount of drugs and copper to the U.S.

Trump recently ended trade talks with Canada over our tax on selling digital information.

But the federal government walked it back about a week ago, allowing trade talks to resume.
